Groene Tara is de bekendste vrouwelijke Boeddha, en in deze thangkacursus leer je haar te tekenen (en kun je er later evt schilderen) volgens de Tibetaans Boeddhistische traditie van thangka.
Tara is een van de meest vereerde Boeddha’s en is de belichaming van actief mededogen. Zij reikt haar hand uit -als een moeder tot haar kind- om wensen te vervullen en staat, met haar rechtervoet uitgestrekt, klaar om te helpen waar nodig. Door haar te tekenen/ schilderen, haar meditatie te beoefenen en haar mantra te reciteren kun je contact met haar maken. Er zijn dan ook vele verhalen van mensen die werden gered uit moeilijke omstandigheden terwijl ze haar mantra reciteerden of Tara’s naam aanriepen.
Groene Tara wordt ook gezien als een van de eerste geëmancipeerde vrouwen. Toen andere -mannelijke- beoefenaars haar opdroegen slechts te bidden voor een volgende incarnatie in een mannelijk lichaam omdat dat de enige manier zou zijn om de verlichting (de hoogste staat van bewustzijn) te verkrijgen, nam Tara de volgende, standvastige gelofte: ‘Totdat Samsara leeg zal zijn, zal ik werken ten bate van alle voelende wezens, maar áltijd in een vrouwelijk lichaam!’

The Manifestation of Active Compassion

Green Tara is the most famous female Buddha, and in this thangka course, you will learn to draw her according to the Tibetan Buddhist tradition.

Tara is the embodiment of active compassion. She extends her hand, like a mother to her child, to fulfill wishes and stands, with her right foot extended, ready to help where needed.

Green Tara is also considered one of the first emancipated women. When other -male- practitioners instructed her to pray only for another incarnation in a male body because that would be the only way to attain enlightenment (the highest state of consciousness), Tara made the following steadfast vow: 'Until Samsara is empty, I will work for the benefit of all sentient beings, but always in a female body!'

Groene Tara is de bekendste vrouwelijke Boeddha, en in deze thangkacursus leer je haar te tekenen (en kun je er later evt schilderen) volgens de Tibetaans Boeddhistische traditie van thangka.
Tara is een van de meest vereerde Boeddha’s en is de belichaming van actief mededogen. Zij reikt haar hand uit -als een moeder tot haar kind- om wensen te vervullen en staat, met haar rechtervoet uitgestrekt, klaar om te helpen waar nodig. Door haar te tekenen/ schilderen, haar meditatie te beoefenen en haar mantra te reciteren kun je contact met haar maken. Er zijn dan ook vele verhalen van mensen die werden gered uit moeilijke omstandigheden terwijl ze haar mantra reciteerden of Tara’s naam aanriepen.
Groene Tara wordt ook gezien als een van de eerste geëmancipeerde vrouwen. Tara and I are so happy it's spring time! 🌸🌸🌸 It's beautiful sunny weather here in Amsterdam, and pink and white blossoms are out everywhere in The Netherlands 💖 The end of this month I will be visiting the Keukenhoffor the very first time in my life, to see the tulips and other flowers bloom 🌷 The Keukenhof is one of the world's largest and most famous flower gardens. Located in Lisse (about 30 minutes from Amsterdam), the park is a massive spring showcase for the Dutch floral industry.
Every year, approximately 7 million flower bulbs are planted by hand, including over 800 varieties of tulips, as well as hyacinths, daffodils, and lilies.
The park is only open for about eight weeks each spring, typically from mid-March to mid-May, to align with the peak blooming season.
Originally designed in 1857 in the English landscape style, the gardens wrap around the historic Keukenhof Castle. Beyond the rows of flowers, the 32-hectare park includes themed inspirational gardens, a historic windmill, indoor flower shows, and the largest sculpture park in the Netherlands.
